What AirTouch is

AirTouch is a lightening technique where the colorist separates the short, fine hairs from each section with a blow-dryer and lightens only the longer strands. The result is a blonde that looks like it grew that way: brighter at the ends, softer at the root, with no stripes or a hard line when it grows out.

• Sectioning and lightening with the AirTouch method, usually 2 to 3 hours
• Toner or gloss to set the exact shade
• Olaplex or a bond repair treatment if the hair needs it
• Haircut and blowdry to finish

How long and how much

AirTouch takes about 5 hours and starts at $450. The final price depends on hair length, density, previous color and the result you want, and is confirmed at the consultation. A toner refresh between full sessions starts at $100 and takes about an hour and a quarter.
